  1. Plan healthy snacks for the day. This will keep you from getting too hungry and then eating unhealthy snacks that are readily available. (Carry snacks with you. Keep healthy snacks at your desk). Graze every 3 hours.
  2. Ditch the sodas—switch to herbal or green tea, Spring water with lemon-orange-cucumber, or sparkling water (try with zest of lemon/lime)
  3. Make a big organic salad once or twice a week and store in a large plastic container. Now, you have a fresh salad ready to eat every day.
  4. Pray before eating. (Research shows that even putting your hands together for a moment helps digestion and absorption of nutrients and reduces overeating).
  5. Eat to 80% full.  Small portions and eating lightly are documented to improve health and increase  longevity. You will also feel more energetic.
  6. Read labels. This will improve your health and your sense of control over your health.
  7. Eat two to three “round fruits” a day (apples, pears, oranges)  You can carry these with you and you don’t need to peel/slice/dice, so it’s convenient.
  8. Take a high quality multi-vitamin/mineral and add anti-oxidants C, E and Co-Q 10.
  9. Drink a green drink each day.  In a blender:  Try spinach, carrots, celery, cucumber, parsley, ginger, pineapple and apple for a truly delicious treat that will energize and cleanse your body~mind~spirit.
  10. Try a new whole grain dish each week. (barley, millet, quinoa, amaranth, bulghar, brown rice) There are many packaged versions in health food section of your grocery store or at health food chains such as Whole Foods Sprouts, or Sunflower.
